Goodnight light

Special project

The project originated from a simple insight: children’s fear of the dark often leads families to leave lights on throughout the night, generating unnecessary energy consumption and reinforcing unsustainable habits. Rather than addressing the issue through educational rules or warnings, the idea was to completely reverse the perspective — transforming darkness into something children could enjoy and actively seek.

GOODNIGHT LIGHT is a children’s book printed with luminescent ink that reveals its story only when the lights are turned off, making darkness part of the experience itself. Designed as both a narrative object and a comforting bedside companion, the book also functions as a soft night light and is accompanied by glow-in-the-dark stickers that help create a playful and reassuring bedtime ritual.

By turning a sustainable behavior into an engaging interaction, the project encourages children and families to naturally adopt more conscious energy habits through play, imagination, and emotional connection
